The Restoration of Killeen Castle
Meath County Council has granted planning permission for the construction of a 43-bedroom hotel within the Castle. The hotel will include restoration of the ground floor principal rooms that were destroyed in a fire back in 1981.
Additionally, the ground floor rooms that survived the fire will be conserved, repaired, and restored with period interiors. The Castle will be converted into a hotel with guest rooms, bar facilities, and dining facilities.
