Golf Operations Assistant

Job Description

The position would suit a highly motivated personal with exceptional customer service skills and a background in golf operations.


Key responsibilities:

  • To assist the golf team with the daily operation of the golf business.
  • Managing daily tee sheets and pace of play.
  • Following procedures to ensure golf traffic areas are well presented and clean including the clubhouse area, practice range and outdoor facilities.
  • Manage our fleet of golf carts and other rental equipment on a daily basis.
  • Ensure members and guests receive the highest level of customer service.
  • Assist in proshop operations on a regular basis.

Experience/Skills required:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of general IT systems.
  • Personable, enthusiastic and enjoy working as part of a team environment.
  • A demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and exemplary standards of service
  • Knowledge and understanding of golf and competitive formats an advantage.

COMMIS CHEF

Commis Chef

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, an eagerness to exceed expectations, the ability to work as part of a team and lead by example and learn from his/her colleagues.


Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard
  • To ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times
  • To ensure that all food is stored hygienically and in accordance with the kitchen procedures, particularly cold rooms and fridges
  • To operate machines and cooking equipment in a safe and responsible manner
  • To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum at all times

Job Description

Reporting to the head chef, the ideal candidate will have a passion for food, an eagerness to exceed expectations, and the ability to work as part of a team and also on own initiative. A high level of quality and commitment to presentation and service is required. Immediate start date.   

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your speciality to the required specifications
  • To ensure the standards of cuisine and hygiene are maintained at all times in accordance with HACCP regulations
  • To ensure all special requests made by members and guests are met
  • Helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins

Experience/Skills required:

  • Either on the job experience of a minimum of 1 year or recently qualified
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP
  • Will be flexible in their working hours
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Will have fluency in English - both written and oral

Greenkeeping Staff

Terms: Full Time, Permanent
Payment: DOE

Job Description:

To carry out routine golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the Course Superintendant in accordance with the Club’s Golf Course Maintenance Policy:
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  1. Cut tees, greens, surrounds, fairways, rough and semi rough.
  2. Set up the golf course, including changing holes, moving tee markers, indicating OOB, Drop zones and hazards.
  3. Switch and brush greens
  4. Apply top dressing and fertilizer
  5. Identify and control pests and diseases
  6. Renovate worn and damaged turf
  7. Prepare and maintain machinery

Candidates should possess relevant experience and qualifications, hove a positive attitude, be enthusiastic and hardworking with a willingness to learn and undertake training.
